Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SemanticFuture, a digital publishing project of Web3 Connected (“SemanticFuture,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, create an account, contact us, purchase a digital product, or download a purchase.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: your name, email address, encrypted password, and account timestamps.
  • Contact information: your name, email address, message, and any information you choose to include in a support or contact request.
  • Order information: order number, purchased product, price, currency, order status, and dates associated with payment, refund, and access.
  • Communications: records needed to answer account, delivery, refund, legal, or support requests.

Payment information

PayPal processes payments on its systems. We do not directly collect or store your complete payment-card number or bank-account credentials. We receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, and other information needed to match and verify an order. Payment notifications retained for security and troubleshooting are designed to redact payer email, name, street address, telephone number, and similar payer details before storage in our application database.

Information collected automatically

  • Session and security data: session identifiers, CSRF/security tokens, authentication state, and related cookie information.
  • Usage and transaction events: product views, checkout starts, completed or failed purchases, generated download links, and completed or repeated downloads.
  • Technical data: IP address, timestamps, requested pages, and standard server or application log information.
  • Download records: download counts, limits, grant or revocation status, and the date of the latest download.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and secure customer accounts;
  • create orders, confirm PayPal payments, deliver purchases, and enforce download limits;
  • send transactional messages such as order confirmations and secure download links;
  • answer contact, support, refund, account, and legal requests;
  • detect fraud, investigate failures, prevent abuse, and protect the Services;
  • measure storefront activity, purchases, revenue, and downloads through first-party analytics;
  • maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website and publications; and
  • comply with legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.

We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers on the site, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party cookies and comparable browser mechanisms that are necessary to operate the site. These support login sessions, remember authenticated users where requested, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, retain short-lived checkout state, and provide security. Refusing these cookies through your browser may prevent account, checkout, contact, and download features from working correctly.

Our current analytics are generated from first-party application events rather than third-party advertising cookies. If we add materially different analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, we will update this Policy and provide any consent controls required by applicable law.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

  • Payment provider: PayPal, to initiate, verify, complete, refund, or investigate a transaction.
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, storage, security, deployment, and network providers that operate the Services for us.
  • Email provider: a transactional mail provider used to send order and download communications.
  • Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, or other advisers where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities and affected parties: where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the public.
  • Business transaction recipients: participants in a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer involving all or part of the project, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Service providers are authorized to process information only for the services they provide to us and under their own contractual and legal obligations. Third-party sites linked from our articles have independent privacy practices.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. Account and access information is generally retained while an account remains active. Order, transaction, refund, and payment verification records may be retained longer to meet accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, chargeback, and legal requirements. Contact messages and technical logs are retained for support, security, and operational needs and then deleted or anonymized when they are no longer reasonably necessary.

Backup copies may remain for a limited additional period before being overwritten. We may retain information needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims even after an account-deletion request.

6. Data security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. These include HTTPS in production, hashed passwords, encrypted production sessions, access controls, server-side payment verification, redaction of selected PayPal payer fields, private file storage, signed download links, download limits, and logging for fraud and security review. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; or to appeal a privacy-request decision. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

Submit a request through our contact form using the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity verification. We may retain order or security records when the law permits or requires it.

Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism. Browser privacy signals do not change strictly necessary session or security processing.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

9. International use

SemanticFuture and its providers operate in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we will use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our practices, providers, products, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new “Last updated” date. For a material change, we may also provide a prominent site notice or account communication where appropriate.

11. Contact us

Questions or requests about privacy may be submitted through the SemanticFuture contact form. Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
